For one of the International most successful and well-known businesses, we are seeking an IT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER to play a key role in the delivery of modern cloud, network and database technologies. 

Role purpose:

The position will have overall accountability for the IT Infrastructure Design & Development Department.

The role will contribute to provide the technical leadership & direction to the mission of Company Infrastructure group.

The position will guide the technology transformation program moving traditional infrastructure technology further towards innovation and hybrid cloud infrastructure, software defined networking and improving database technologies.

The position represents a technical leadership role that requires hand-on to lead infrastructure transformation, developing infrastructure solutions and implementing process for a growing company.

Roadmaps are vendor driven but owned and signed off internal infrastructure architects team of Infrastructure and Network Engineers alongside DBA's.The position will report to the Group Infrastructure Director and will manage a team of 15 people. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:

Develop a short, medium and long-term plan for the development of Infrastructure Design within the Company including people, process, tools and technology

Define and implement infrastructure lifecycle, improvement and standardization strategies

Evaluation of new product and technologies from conceptual review through solution proof of concept and Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure services and system administration task where possible

Infrastructure & Service Design:

Responsible for overall management of the infrastructure design services, delivered through the Infrastructure Design team: manage the delivery of the design for the various portions of the numerous projects by verifying consistency in the designs produced by the design team or vendors with respect to adherence to the design criteria and required standards

Partner with operations on execution of the roadmaps and insure seamless transition from Design to Implementation to Operations

Ensure Service Level Requirements in terms of Availability, Capacity, Reliability, Security, Maintainability, Customer Satisfaction and Productivity Improvement

Partner / Vendor management:

Balance Technology Service Partners contractual obligations with the priorities of the Business – optimizing value and performance from our Service Partners

 Expertise and skill required:

About 10 years management experience in a technology environment coming from leading consulting Firms and/or System Integrator.

Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure engineering projects

Experience in providing Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering leadership in defining, contributing and/or developing data center strategy and roadmap

Deep knowledge of Infrastructure technologies, Data Center, Server, Virtualization

Demonstrated skills in VMware, EMC and Cisco technologies

Proven Team Player in working with one's peers to ensure that delivery of service is timely, efficient and of high quality preferably across infrastructure and systems teams comprising of cloud, network and database Engineers.
