Global Industrial Controller - Chemical

Our Client is an Italian multinational Company operating in Chemicals Business. The company has around 1.000 employees in Italy, South America, India and North America. 

On its behalf, we are looking for the Global Industrial Controller who will directly report to the Global Chief Financial Officer of the Company

Mission of the position:

Be the Finance Business Partner for the company’s Industrial sites, responsible for finance and accounting of all industrial related activities. The role requires a person with strong business acumen and financial reporting experience who is adept at building standard costing models from the ground up and then implementing and automating these models across a business. 

Key areas of responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Industrial accounting and controlling for all group sites (Italy, India & Brazil)

  • Preparation of Annual Industrial Budget and Monthly Forecast

  • Analysis of operational results, forecasted vs actual, bridging performance and explaining variations

  • Drive the calculation of Standard Costs, and provide  management reports on standards vs actual costs

  • Support the preparation of the strategic plan related to Industrial sites

  • Review and/or approval authority for various financial based processes such capital expenditure requests, inventories, purchase requisitions, standard costing, etc.

  • Develop appropriate BI tools for factory controlling

  • Reviews and prioritizes capital investments

  • Identify cost drivers and work with plant team on improvement actions

  • Preparation of concise summary of relevant information to facilitate decision making

  • Promotes a continuous improvement mentality in analysis of material, conversion cost, inventory, etc.

  • Responsible for Inventory management together with COO

  • Actively support strategic decisions by means of sound business analysis (bus. modelling, opportunity & risk assessments, scenario analysis, etc.)

KPI’s:

  • Standard Cost calculation

  • Actual vs Standard cost deviation analysis

  • Cost savings and productivities initiatives

  • Monthly report of site performance

  • Harmonization & automation of processes

  • Efficiency of the processes

  • BI tool experience including data model developments and data management

Required Competences:

  • Minimum 8 years of finance experience, with at least 4 years working in Industrial Sites (preferably in chemical businesses)
