Business Unit Manager - Food & Nutrition - Chemical

Job description

Leading Global Distributor of speciality chemicals and food ingredients is looking for its Business Unit Manager Food & Nutrition

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and further developing strong relationships with our suppliers and customers
  • setting out the strategic growth plan for the Italian food ingredients business, building on trends in food & nutrition
  • Effectively leading the sales and technical team
  • Delivering the budgeted financial targets of the business unit
  • Pursuing potential new supply partners to further enhance the existing range of complementary range of food ingredients
  • Proactively networking with BU Manager peers within the group of companies
  • Implementing and executing the Business Group and local strategy to provide “consumer trend solutions that exceed expectations”

Working Relationships

The Business Unit Manager will report to the Commercial Director,  and to the Managing Director of the Company and will also have a reporting line to the  Group Director EMEA for Food & Nutrition

The commercial team and technical team and the customer service team of the Italian Food & Nutrition division all report to the Business Unit Manager.  

Qualifications & professional background

  • Degree in Food Technology or a related subject
  • A proven track record  in commercial role in an international and national food environment gained in a multinational food ingredient Producer or Distributor  (MANDATORY)
  • The candidate must have a solid knowledge of the Italian Food & Nutrition market with a strong understaning of consumer trends
  • Italian native AND English fluent
